Carnival Engagement Shoot

|
This sweet carnival engagement shoot just screams fun! I love all of the sweet details. Colorful balloons, a day full of playing those childhood favorite carnival games, and that unforgettable carnival food - cotton candy, candied apples..yummm...make this one special day that I would love to recreate for myself.

Umbrella Blessings Engagement Shoot

|
Engaged couple Betty and Jonathan brought their fun and playful personalities to their sweet engagement shoot. In Betty's culture it is a tradition for family members to put their blessings for the couple into an umbrella so that when it is opened those blessings will 'fall' on them and bless them and their life as a couple. How beautiful is that? Here are some of their great shots highlighting some of those lifetime blessings. Enjoy the love!

Amie Fidangue recently married the love of her life in Stockton, CA. She chose Dessy Group bridesmaid dresses in gorgeous orange crush and was generous enough to share the beauty of her day with us.

"I knew what I wanted for bridesmaid dresses and when I found Dessy.com that was it! Orange Crush Shautaung silk it was! We ordered the Dessy dresses from local bridal boutiques and used Dessy.com to order the men and ringbearer ties as well as fabric to make the sash on the flower girl dress ring and pillow. I wore the ballet slippers from Dessy to complete my look."

There you can view our Pantone Wedding color coordinating tools, create your own wedding website and organize your guest list, budget, vendors and invites using the many wedding planning tools while finding that perfect bridesmaid dress.

Adorable Couple's Photo Session

|
This couple's session is so adorable. Chalkboard hearts of love, skateboarding down the streets of Portland, Oregon and their insanely cute retro style are irresistible. I love the simplicity of props because all you really need with a couple this sweet is themselves. Enjoy!

Elizabeth recently submitted her Dessy bridesmaid real wedding images to Dessy.com to receive her free, and I must say, cool, tote bag.  I immediately fell in love with she and her husband Christopher's Wisconsin wedding. It is chock full of awesome DIY elements and their sunflower and black color scheme is so gorgeous!

Elizabeth told me the story of finding the perfect bridesmaid dresses at Dessy. "Each of my bridesmaids picked out a dress in Sunflower with a black accent and I absolutely love the way it turned out. I felt great knowing that they were each comfortable and looked great in the style of dress they picked out."

And those DIY elements I fell for? She explained "As for the decorating and all of the details, I made most everything. The fabric flowers were our table decorations, as well as what made up each girl's bouquet. I also made the bridesmaids' jewelry. The favors were honey and maple syrup jars which were produced locally by the groom and his father. Our guest book was squares of fabric for the guests to sign, which I will make into a quilt."

This creative duo also customized their wedding treats. Instead of a cake they created their own dessert buffet from two local vendors-Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory and Cher's Cookie Box. From chocolate dipped pineapple to earl grey cookies, there were only crumbs left by the end of the day.

I want to thank Elizabeth and Christopher for sharing their big day and helping to inspire others. A huge congratulations to you both!

If you have your own Dessy bridesmaid real wedding you'd like to share, please submit your images here and I'll contact you to be highlighted in this blog.  Besides the fame :), you'll also receive a free Dessy tote bag!

This Alice in Wonderland themed wedding is made complete with a hookah bar, dreamy decor and "Eat Me" and "Drink Me" treats. Despite absolutely drooling over all the beauty of the venue, themed touches and colors, I think their dog in the tutu might have come close to stealing the show. Seriously cute.

Californian Bohemian Wedding Inspiration

|
It's official. I'm addicted to Elizabeth Anne Designs. I can't get enough of her cool and creative wedding inspiration ideas. My favorite this week is this Californian bohemian lovely. The booze-n-berries table is rustic, festive and looks so tasty. The wishing tree for the bride and groom, wood based colorful centerpieces and all of the bursting with vibrant color flowers make for one special scene. May you be inspired!

Wild West Wedding

|
This wild west rustic wedding from Ben Blood photography is a real treat. All of the gorgeous DIY elements and the natural amazing woodland setting make me feel all cozy inside. The homemade jam, a chalkboard welcome, simple straw boutonnières, that hairpiece that I want (!) and delicious cakes made this cloudy day fill with warmth. Enjoy!

This sweet engagement session by Gabriel Ryan Photography and once featured on Green Wedding Shoes, is so cute I couldn't help but feature it here for you to enjoy. A beautiful day that begins in an ice cream parlor, is followed by a day in the park. Antique furniture, a bright red parasol, and a cozy afternoon on a blanket with two lovebirds. See? I told you, too sweet for words.

1980s Retro High School Love!

|
My inner 80's child can hardly contain herself when looking at this 1980's Retro High School Love set up from Elizabeth Anne Designs which was recently featured on Sweetest Occasion. With custom mixed tape favors, menu cards resembling grade school report cards, and custom letterpress coasters with boombox and tape images, these high school sweethearts took me right back to the days of hair bands and my hot pink roller skates.

I'm in love with her custom veil, and the candy caddy filled with pixie sticks and lollipops. Guests were also given blue or orange crayons to 'pass a note' to the couple and there was a boom box with microphone available so they could record 'boom box love' for the couple. So many great and creative ideas, I think I might need to steal some for my own 80's party. Ok, stop reading my babble and have a look!

Real Wedding Inspiration: Austin, Texas

|
This Austin, Texas wedding from Leigh Miller Photography is so grand and elegant I can't stop looking at it. That mansion, the entire venue - grand! And those cowboy boots hidden under the wedding dress? A personal elegance. The moment when the bride and groom saw each other in their gown and tux is caught perfectly. The look of excitement and joy on the bride's face is absolutely priceless! I just love this couple.

Hammers & Strings Engagement Session

|
A vintage piano, secluded and pretty location, a picture frame, beat up chair and two lovebirds make for one amazing engagement session by Clayton Austin Photography. This couple is so in love and just ridiculously beautiful that these shots say it all. I love how the bride-to-be can completely pull off those flowered leggings, and her headband is just too cute. Not to mention that insanely cute man on her arm. Wishing them all the best and hoping you enjoy these magical shots.

From talented photographer Jonathan Ong, I bring you this beautiful surprise wedding day! Mark and Amy got married last month and no one knew but their parents. The guests arrived to what they thought was an engagement party. This isn't just any bride either, it's Amy from the fantastic blog Eat Drink Chic. I know, I know, I mentioned her blog yesterday as well. I can't help myself, it's great! The hanging flowers, bright colors, homemade lemonade, and postcard guestbook-all brilliant!
