Seriously lovelies, this one is amazing. You can't top this. With lollipop boutonnieres, pinwheels, a table full of gum balls, pixie stix and all forms of candy goodness, a cotton candy machine and tons of laughter-this day is one I really truly wish I was invited to. You can tell everyone is having so much fun, I mean, a swing set at your wedding-brilliant!

Antique Barn Themed Wedding Inspiration

This absolutely beautiful wedding captured by Images by Bethany is fairytale gorgeous. Classy and vintage, the reception was held in a big red barn! Bails of hay draped with antique lace and quilts made the seating area one to remember. Dainty umbrellas to shade the sun were available for all of the guests, and that necklace of the bride-I want that necklace! Just lovely. Enjoy and be inspired!

I recently found and fell head over heals for the Hostess with the Mostess blog. Full of truly great inspiration for your big day, here is one of my favorites. Wild West Wedding

This wild west rustic wedding from Ben Blood photography is a real treat. All of the gorgeous DIY elements and the natural amazing woodland setting make me feel all cozy inside. The homemade jam, a chalkboard welcome, simple straw boutonnières, that hairpiece that I want (!) and delicious cakes made this cloudy day fill with warmth. Enjoy!

1980s Retro High School Love!

My inner 80's child can hardly contain herself when looking at this 1980's Retro High School Love set up from Elizabeth Anne Designs which was recently featured on Sweetest Occasion. With custom mixed tape favors, menu cards resembling grade school report cards, and custom letterpress coasters with boombox and tape images, these high school sweethearts took me right back to the days of hair bands and my hot pink roller skates.

I'm in love with her custom veil, and the candy caddy filled with pixie sticks and lollipops. Guests were also given blue or orange crayons to 'pass a note' to the couple and there was a boom box with microphone available so they could record 'boom box love' for the couple. So many great and creative ideas, I think I might need to steal some for my own 80's party. Ok, stop reading my babble and have a look!

This Austin, Texas wedding from Leigh Miller Photography is so grand and elegant I can't stop looking at it. That mansion, the entire venue - grand! And those cowboy boots hidden under the wedding dress? A personal elegance. The moment when the bride and groom saw each other in their gown and tux is caught perfectly. The look of excitement and joy on the bride's face is absolutely priceless! I just love this couple.

A huge thank you to 100 Layer Cake for bringing this fantastic site to my attention. The Three Potato Four Shop is chocked full of awesome DIY wedding supplies. And I'm talking truly unique stuff here. From Cash Register Price Flags that you could use as table numbers, to paper packs filled with type patterns, graphics, stamps, cards, stencils and more, to vintage bottles and egg baskets - you have so much to choose from. 

They have a section dedicated to weddings but I found a lot of cool and useful ideas on their whole site. DIY brides, it's a must you visit this site and let your creativity run wild!

Carmel-by-the-Sea Surprise Romantic Wedding Proposal

Photographer Jun Shien was secretly brought along to capture this once in a lifetime moment. The perfect surprise romantic proposal. It was a chilly, foggy day near Carmel-by-the-Sea, California when Jeff told Clara that they had to pull the car over so he could use the restroom. As Clara patiently waited she wondered what was taking so long. And then, there he was, Jeff emerging decked out in suit and tie carrying her favorite flowers. As he led her to the two chairs equipped with his guitar, he popped the question. She said yes. He played the song he had written especially for the love of his life. And that is one happily ever after story!
